Travel Arrangements

Depending on your breast augmentation procedure, and at the discretion of Dr. Romanelli, your surgery may take place either in the North Shore Plastic Surgery office surgical suite, an AAAASF-certified ambulatory care facility, or at Huntington Hospital, an affiliate of the North Shore University-Long Island Jewish Health System, located just a few blocks from the North Shore office. Your immediate recovery, whether overnight in the hospital or in our office recovery room, will be closely monitored by Dr. Romanelli, Diane Romano NP-C, and our outstanding nurses. Most breast augmentations allow for you to go home the same day as the surgery. You will find our entire team to be professional and compassionate during your care.

Your post-operative follow up will occur on an outpatient basis. Some cosmetic surgery procedures require drains that are usually removed in the office between three and seven days after the surgery. You should plan to take it easy and let yourself recuperate for a week or two before resuming you normal level of activity, depending on the extent of your surgery.

Our Out-of-Town Program

If you live out of town, for your convenience, we will be happy to arrange accommodations for you at a local hotel so that you may recuperate nearby for up to a week after your surgery before returning home. Your follow-up appointment may be scheduled for four to six weeks after surgery, at your convenience.
