Bothered by the large size of her breasts, this young woman from Long Island was referred to me by a friend, and wanted my advice about breast reduction in Suffolk County. She complained of severe neck and back pain as well as shoulder strap pain caused by the weight of her breasts. Her 36DD size made it very difficult for her to exercise, and she was upset that her left breast was larger than the right, visible in her "before" photos. During our initial examination, we agreed that her breasts were too large for her frame, and created a surgical plan for her breast reduction. I recommended an inferior pedicle type of breast reduction, so that her nipples and areola would remain connected to the breast tissue, preserving nipple sensation and the ability to breastfeed. This is a very popular approach among younger women and mothers. In her photos taken about six months following surgery, it is clear that this patient is healing beautifully, and she loves the results of her cosmetic surgery near Nassau County. She is very pleased that her recovery period was brief and she is now able to regularly exercise and participate in other activities.
